OptiLayer allows evaluating the influence of small scale and large scale interface roughness on design spectral characteristics. The concept of small scale and large scale roughness is discussed in our paper. | |
OptiLayer allows you to specify degrees of inhomogeneities for design layers and thicknesses of interlayers for every interface.
Refractive index distribution throughout the layer is assumed to be linear (linearly increasing or decreasing) index profile. The degree of layer inhomogeneity is the percentage ratio of the difference between the layer refractive indices at the upper and lower layer interfaces to the mean refractive index of this layer. Positive degree of inhomogeneity corresponds to an increasing refractive index profile. Negative degree of inhomogeneity corresponds to a decreasing index profile. Interlayer thicknesses for each interface can be specified.
